MTA plans to install traffic signals on McAllister from Steiner to Baker

TRAFFICMTA is proposing new traffic signals along McAllister Street, at the following intersections:  Steiner Street, Pierce Street, Scott Street, Broderick Street, and Baker Street.  (There is already a traffic signal at Divisadero.)

The Sustainable Streets Division of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will  hold a public hearing on Friday, September 5, 2014, at 10:00 AM, in Room 416 (Hearing Room 4), City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA 94102, to consider the
proposal.  Item 24(f) (see below) goes along with a series of other changes proposed for McAllister and other nearby streets.

    From a safety perspective, this is not ideal. It will increase traffic speed resulting in pedestrian and bicycle accidents.
