Nearly 18 months after the ASNA board submitted a formal request for a prohibition of tour buses within the Alamo Square Historic District, we have an opportunity to push for the next steps that will lead to legislation. Join us at the upcoming meeting:
Friday, August 16
SFMTA, 7th Floor, Conference Room 7080
1 South Van Ness Avenue
San Francisco, CA
The prohibition of large (more than 9 passengers) tour buses requires legislation from the SFMTA board. In order for the Board to consider such legislation, it must first be supported by the SFMTA Board of Director’s Policy and Governance (PAG) Committee. If the idea receives the support of the PAG, then it will go before the SFMTA Board.
The next meeting of the PAG is on Friday, August 16. The request for Tour Bus Prohibition in the Alamo Square Historic District (Divisadero, Fell, Webster, and Golden Gate) is on the agenda. There is also a consideration to relocate the tour bus loading zone from Divisadero and Fell St to Baker between Oak and Fell, or Fell and Pierce St. Public comment is welcome, so if you or your neighbors are concerned about this issue, please attend and speak up!
